CEO & Incoming Chairman of the Board_
Doug Wagoner is incoming Chairman of the Board at LMI, following five years as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. As CEO from 2020 to 2025, Doug led LMI through a period of significant growth and transformation. He transitioned the company into a for-profit model with private equity backing, oversaw three strategic acquisitions, and expanded LMI’s footprint into the space market with the acquisition of Synaptech in 2022 and the establishment of the Space Center of Excellence in partnership with the Space Force Association.
Under Doug’s leadership, LMI accelerated its technology-centric business model, enabling the delivery of innovative, commercial-grade solutions for national security, public health, civilian, and space customers. These efforts drove a 74% increase in revenue, 40% workforce growth, and positioned LMI as a partner of choice for federal agencies seeking commercial innovation at mission speed.
Earlier in his tenure, LMI acquired Suntiva in 2021, expanding its digital and workforce solution offerings while furnishing new customer access in public health and defense. During Doug’s first year as CEO, The Washington Post ranked LMI first among Top Workplaces in the largest companies category for the Greater Washington, D.C. area. His leadership has been recognized with multiple honors, including the Wash100 and the WashingtonExec Top 25 Executives to Watch list.
Beyond LMI, Doug serves on the Global Advisory Council for the United Service Organizations (USO) and on the board of directors of Thomson Reuters Special Services.
Prior to joining LMI, Doug was sector president at SAIC, where he was responsible for operations and more than 15,000 consultants and engineers. He also served as senior vice president of DSA and ChoicePoint (now LexisNexis) and began his career at EDS (now DXC Technology).
Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from The College of William & Mary and a master’s degree in business administration from Virginia Tech.
