SPECTR™ delivers persistent asset visibility by fusing long-life GPS, passive RFID, and secure data collection with mission-ready analytics built for operational environments. Because LMI engineers the full technology stack, SPECTR™ scales seamlessly, adapts quickly, and integrates without third-party dependencies. Our ultra-long-life RFID tags, which last 5–10x longer in the field, reduce sustainment burden and ensure continuous performance in the most demanding environments. The cohesive architecture automates data collection, strengthens interoperability, and powers intuitive visualization, enabling defense agencies to make faster, data-driven decisions, reduce manual workloads, and maintain operational readiness with confidence.

The challenge

Asset tracking and management activities are essential, yet traditional defense logistics solutions often rely on fragmented systems, manual processes, and intermittent tracking that can’t keep pace with today’s operational demand. Disconnected systems introduce inefficiencies and blind spots that slow operations and introduce risk. Agencies need a secure, scalable, long-lasting solution that automates data capture and operates across contested and disconnected environments, providing access to critical information for mission readiness.

Persistent visibility; zero gaps.

  • Clarity in complex environments: persistent visibility that eliminates blind spots across warehouses, shipyards, convoys, and contested terrain.
  • Confidence in every decision: reliable data that drives faster, more accurate logistical and operational actions.
  • Control over mission-critical assets: automated accountability and auditable tracking that reduce risk and workload.
  • Continuity at scale: a resilient, enterprise-ready architecture that keeps operations moving anywhere, at any tempo.
  • Cost and time savings: long-life GPS sensor tags and low-burden automation dramatically reduce sustainment burden.

CASE IN POINT_

SPECTR™ is deployed through client-tailored configurations.

LMI is partnering with the U.S. Navy to modernize maintenance activities for Naval shipyards. Our solution utilizes passive RFID and wireless sensors to automate asset tracking, contributing to the timely return of ships and submarines to the fleet. Real-time monitoring and automated alerts empower leaders to make quicker, more informed decisions, reducing bottlenecks and improving readiness.
LMI is partnering with the Sierra Army Depot (SIAD) to deploy our solution, tagging wheeled and tracked vehicles with GPS tags to manage inventory and status. Once deployed, tagged assets are tracked as they move around the depot, providing data on their location, count, condition, and status. The solution generates reports and analyses for inventory updates. As a result, managers can track vehicles virtually, reducing travel and labor demands and enabling automated inventory.
In 2024, the U.S. Air Mobility Command (AMC) conducted Exercise Valiant Shield, testing innovative technologies to improve logistics operations. LMI collaborated with AMC to deploy SPECTR™, collecting cargo location data using sensors and feeding the data into a lake for near real-time analysis. Throughout the exercise, SPECTR™ facilitated swift logistics decisions by providing in-transit visibility of assets deployed across the Pacific, filling information gaps and ultimately enhancing warfighter readiness.
